2 killed in Troy shooting at Pike County Cattleman’s Complex identified

TROY, Ala. (WTVY/WSFA) - Police have identified two people that died after a shooting at the Pike County Cattleman’s Complex in Troy over the weekend.

According to the Troy Police Department, the victims have been identified as Devontae Givens, 25, and Jhakyndall Johnson, 25.

According to police, a total of five victims were shot, and the shooting occurred in the early hours around 2:00 a.m. Officers were called to disperse a large crowd at the Pike County Cattleman’s Complex in the 12,000 block of U.S. 231 South. As officers were headed to the scene, multiple shots were fired in the parking lot of the complex.

Johnson was transported by ambulance from the scene to a Dothan Hospital where he died from his injuries. Givens was driven by vehicle, and taken to Troy Regional Hospital. Givens as later pronounced dead.

Of the three victims, one is in critical, but stable condition at this time after being transported from Troy Regional to a Montgomery hospital.

The bodies of Johnson and Givens have been taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science for an autopsy.

There have been no arrests made at this time. This investigation is ongoing.
