BRUNDIDGE, Ala. (WTVY) - 2019 was another dominate season for Fred Holland’s bunch at Pike County. The Bulldogs put together a 10-1 season highlighted by a stingy defense.

Pike County held opponents to under ten points per game and added another region title, their third in four years, but the Bulldogs were eliminated from the playoffs in the first round.

Heading into 2020, Pike County plans to learn from its mistakes.

"We just have to focus in on some of the things that hurt us from being able to advance a little bit further," said Holland. "We're going to be young. We have some great upcoming guys. I think if we can do the little things we didn't do last year, I think we can progress in that situation."

Pike County will only play region games due due Coronavirus concerns which means its first game will be September 11 against Dadeville.
