(WBRC) - Some promising news tonight from the Alabama Department of Public Health.

The new COVID risk map is showing Alabama with a lot more yellow than red, which is a good sign.

Most of our state is now at a moderate risk.

Only three counties in the red, or the very high risk category: Bullock, Geneva, and Jackson.

But we’re not in the clear yet.

Dr. Karen Landers of the Alabama Department of Public Health says, “I am certainly pleased that it looks better, but I am very cautious that we must continue to be consistent and we must be vigilant. This certainly shows some improvement, but we are far from where we need to be.”
