Salvation Army holds annual stuff the bus
DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) --
Despite the odds, the Salvation Army is holding their annual stuff the bus event with a few changes.
Salvation Army and Walmart partner up every year to help raise supplies for local children.
This year will look a little different due to COVID-19.
There will be no workers at any of the drop off bins to reduce the amount of contact with workers.
This year’s stuff the bus is as important as ever with the difficulties of COVID-19
"Parents are having to decide whether they want to send their kids to school or not so they're already stressing, so we just want to relieve those stressors and give them an opportunity to think of one less thing," said Salvation Army Corps Officer Deanne Jones.
Salvation Army bins will be set up at all three Walmart locations in Dothan and Geneva.
