Many fairs across the nation have been canceled because of the pandemic, but with new safety measures, the plan is for the National Peanut Festival to go on as scheduled.

Reithoffer Shows is implementing a walk-through temperature checking machine, touchless technology to purchase tickets, and hand sanitizer at all food stands and around the fair.

All rides will be deep cleaned and seating on rides will be modified.

The company does suggest wearing a face mask and social distancing.

Face covering relaxation zones will be set up for visitors to get fresh air.

Reithoffer will work closely with local jurisdictions to finalize safety measures.

“America needs to open up safely and that’s what Reithoffer Shows is trying to do. That’s what we want to do. We want to bring the fair to Dothan and we want it to be a very good safe fair,” says Reithoffer Shows safety director Jeff Alberts.

The National Peanut Festival is scheduled for November 6th through 15th.
