Press Release: Democratic Party of Houston County

DOTHAN, Ala. (PR) – The Democratic Party of Houston County (HCDP) will host the 2020 Campaign Kickoff and Grand Opening of their office on Saturday, August 8th, 2020, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

All are invited to learn more about the Democratic party, learn what HCDP has been working on, meet the Houston County leadership, register to vote, and learn about the Democratic candidates who will be on the ballot on Election Day - November 3rd:

  • Senator Doug Jones is up for re-election to continue his work for One Alabama, for everyone.
  • Phyllis Harvey Hall is running to lead the people forward as our next United States Representative in Alabama’s 2nd Congressional District.
  • Laura Casey is running to put the public back in the Public Service Commission and will work to lower energy bills and develop clean energy.

Campaign signs and opportunities to sign-up to volunteer for all candidates will be available.

On-site and drive-through voter services will include: voter registration status check, voter registration, restoration of voting rights, help with obtaining an absentee ballot, making photocopies of your ID for absentee ballot applications, and information about your voting rights. All Alabamians are eligible to vote absentee on November 3rd.

The event will take place at the Houston County Democratic Party office in The Poplar Building – 1909 Montgomery Highway, Dothan, AL, across the street from Wet Pets.
