Slammed packed weekend at Bama Slam Saloon
NEW BROCKTON, Ala. (WTVY) --
A slammed weekend is planned Bama Slam Saloon for Fourth of July.
They have officially opened their water hole among other things. They also have some major events kicking off tomorrow.
The festivities start with some up and coming talent.
Only to be headlined by a very well-known rapper.
“Nelly is going to hit that same stage tomorrow night,” said Bama Slam Saloon Developer Ronnie Gilley. “I’ve been wanting to see Nelly my whole life and I can’t wait to see him get down on that stage.”
It does not stop there.
A very active day for anyone who wants to come out Saturday.
"Starting on Saturday morning we have a $10,000 cash bounty hole dust far registrations have come in from 11 states which is incredible," Gilley added.
Some more music to follow with another big name, this time a country music legend.
“Clay Walker is an icon in country music,” Gilley continued. “A 90s superstar and I’m extremely excited about having clay out here at the slam.”
Music is not all that is taking place at the saloon Saturday night.
“Shortly after that we have a make a firework show on the lake,” Gilley said. “It’s going to be incredible.”
Now for those concerned about COVID-19, Ronnie wants to reassure your safety.
"We are implementing extreme COVID-19 social distancing measures that have been recommended to us by the state of Alabama."
His staff is required to wear masks, sanitation stations are set up and the concert is not like your typical show.
"It is not a personal option. You are going to be required to wear a face mask. We're going to give everyone that comes through those gates a face mask to wear."
For those staying home this Independence Day Weekend, Ronnie has one thing to say to you.
“This is indeed the place to be,” Gilley finished.
