HOOVER, Ala. (WBRC) - Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis confirms a police officer is off the job after a social media post.

Chief Derzis says Officer Ryan Snow was fired after posting a picture showing a protester in the crosshairs of a rifle scope.

The chief says the post “sickened him.”

“It did not adhere to the standards expected of every officer who wears their uniform,” Chief Derzis said.
