DOTHAN, AL -- Theodore entered the South Regional Tournament as the number two team in the state in Class 6A. With five minutes to play, the Bobcats were in danger of watching their season slip away. Dazon Ingram had no intention of letting that happen.
Ingram sparked a late Theodore rally, lifting the Bobcats past Dothan High 60-54 at the Dothan Civic Center. With the win, the Bobcats advanced to face Blount in the 6A Regional Final Friday at 10:40 a.m.
Ingram scored eight points in the final three minutes, helping the Bobcats rally from a five-point deficit. Theodore outscored Dothan 22-12 in the final period to pull out the win.
The Bobcats used a dominant effort on the glass to hang close until their final rally. Theodore outrebounded Dothan 45-32, including a game-high 18 from Ingram.
Rodney Gill Jr. added 18 points for Theodore (25-3), while James Mosley chipped in 11 points.
Kevin Morris led Dothan with 10 points. The Tigers end the year with a 22-8 record.
