Alabama signs 3 high school basketball players

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Alabama has signed two high school guards and a forward to play for the Crimson Tide.

Coach Anthony Grant said Wednesday that guards Justin Coleman and Devin Mitchell and forward Riley Norris signed national letters of intent.

Coleman is a 5-foot-10, 160-pound point guard from Wenonah High School in Birmingham, Ala. He is rated as the nation's No. 43 prospect by after averaging 20.3 points, 7.7 assists and 4.2 steals as a junior.

Mitchell is a 6-4, 175-pound shooting guard who averaged 20.2 points per game for Collins High School in Suwanee, Ga.

The 6-7, 190-pound Norris enters his senior season ranked third in the Alabama High School Athletic Association in career rebounds with 1,428. Norris has also scored 2,450 points for Albertville (Ala.) High School.
