There is one less local victim of the Government Shutdown.
It looks like Dothan’s Early Head Start Program at the Saliba center will re-open.
Managers had to unexpectedly close the program last week, but it turns out the reasoning was based on a computer glitch that cut off federal funding to the center.
The program runs off money from 2012's continuous resolution, meaning funding is still available.
Workers just wish the mistake was discovered earlier.
"When we tried to call and no answered, so it took days to try to work through this process,” said Early Head Start Executive Director, Linda O’Connell.
Early Head Start has already lost $40, 000 and two teachers this year because of sequestration.
