THE TOWN RECENTLY RECEIVED A 173-THOUSAND DOLLAR ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SIDEWALK GRANT. IT'S EARMARKED TO REPLACE A STRETCH OF CRACKED CEMENT ALONG HIGHWAY 52 IN FRONT OF THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. LOCAL OFFICIALS SAY IT'S A GATEWAY INTO THE COMMUNITY..., AND NEEDS TO LOOK GOOD.
