Eufaula (WTVY)-- A Eufaula woman was recently arrested for murder in connection with the traffic death of a 10-year old girl that occurred earlier this year.
35-year old Karen C. Frost was allegedly driving under the influence of a controlled substance April 28 when her car crossed the median on Eufaula Avenue and struck a SUV.
Malaya Petersen of Eufaula was killed while five others in the car, including Frost, were injured. The relationship between Petersen to Frost wasn’t released by police but Petersen's obituary indicated Frost was the victim's mother.
In addition to Murder, Frost was also charged with Driving Under the Influence after forensic lab reports were completed according to Police Chief Steve Watkins.
The case will be presented to a Barbour County Grand jury.
