DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) Dothan Houston County Substance Abuse Partnership, (DHCSAP) needs your help to kick butts!

The nonprofit, with the help of their youth council, are holding “Kick Butts Day” March 21st at their office. DHCSAP is located at 3124 West Main Street, Suite 10. They will be educating the public on the dangers of tobacco and vaping from 3:45 to 5 p.m. They hope the event will bring all ages together to stand up against big tobacco companies.

“Even though you may not smoke, you are affected by second hand smoke, even when just walking down the street,” said Kimberley Guile, DHCSAP Youth Council President. “It’s important for you to come out and just show everybody that you care and want to put an end to this.”
According to the Alabama Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, 8,600 Alabama adults died from smoking in 2017. That’s 23 people a day.
