DOTHAN Ala.(WTVY)- More than 20 employers such as McDonalds, the Alabama Department of Corrections and law enforcement visited Troy University offering opportunities.
One business owner drove all the way from Montgomery to speak with social work majors.
Tashika Filder says "We have a demand for social work positions and we have a very successful success rate with Troy students we have hired several Troy University students."
However if students didn't see any jobs that sparked their interest one company is willing to work with them on figuring out their passion.
Dana Glass the Chief Clinical Officer for Aspire said “We love to have interns we love somebody to come in and explore on where they want to take their career and really learn. We like to say we raise them up right so that they get a good experience but they also become a nice solid clinician. "
Those who came here are hoping they find the right career.
Even though the event was at Troy, these companies are looking for more than just students and recent graduates.
