It's called thundersnow! And, it's basically a thunderstorm with snow falling as opposed to rain.

Instead of getting a quick burst of heavy rain, you get a quick burst of extremely heavy snow.

Thundersnow is being reported mostly in South Jersey.

Thunder struck more than 30 times already Wednesday -- even striking a teacher who is reported to be in stable condition.
