Those wanting summer lifeguard jobs need to get in the pool now

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) — Have you considered a summer job as a lifeguard? Dothan Leisure Services is offering Lifeguard Training beginning this month.

Lifeguard training candidates must be at least 15 years of age and able to demonstrate basic swimming skills. Upon successful course completion, lifeguard training candidates will receive an American Red Cross Lifeguarding and Standard First Aid certificate valid for two years, and a CPR/AED certificate valid for two years.

Those interested can choose one of the following classes:
#1: January 22 - February 2
#2: February 6 - February 17
#3: February 20 - March 3
#4: March 6 - March 17
*Classes are held Monday – Friday nights from 6-9 p.m.

These classes are FREE if you want to work for the City of Dothan in 2018. You must be at least 16 years old to work for the City.
