(The Ellen DeGeneres Show) — Ellen sits down for an exclusive interview with survivors of the Las Vegas shooting Jesus Campos and Stephen Schuck from Las Vegas, NV on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Wednesday, October 18th. Jesus, a security officer, and Stephen, a building engineer, were both working at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino the evening of the tragic mass shooting and were the first people to encounter the shooter. Jesus and Stephen both recount the events that took place on the 32nd floor of the hotel and Stephen tells Ellen how Jesus saved his life in addition to the life of a hotel guest. The two open up about how they’re taking it one day at a time and Jesus shares he’s trying to heal both mentally and physically after sustaining a gunshot wound to his leg.

Ellen commends Jesus’ heroism and thanks him for sharing his story. After learning they are both big football fans, Ellen surprises Jesus with Raiders season tickets once the team moves to Las Vegas and Stephen with a trip to meet the Indianapolis Colts as well as VIP tickets to a game. Plus, Ellen donates $25,000 to the GoFundMe account for Las Vegas Victims’ Fund in Jesus’ name, courtesy of Shutterfly.
