Salvation Army's Angel Tree close to meeting its goal

DOTHAN, AL (WTVY) -- The Salvation Army's Angel Tree needs have been met!

The organization needed gifts for 100 children and at the time of publication, and by noon on Saturday December 17th all Angels were accounted for.

Advisory Board member Linda Overton says thanks go to the people of the Wiregrass for lending a helping hand.

She says "When we have not been able to provide, people have reached out to us and helped us provide...It's dedication to this organization we feel very strongly. And that's why we're out here every year to help provide for these children"

Volunteers are needed to distribute the gifts to families at the festival grounds on Monday morning. If interested, they're asking you arrive at 8:15AM.
