Rate of teen sex dropping in the United States

(NBC News Channel) - A study from the CDC reveals fewer teens are having sex.

New data shows 41% of high school students were sexually active in 2015, down from 47% in 2005.

The decrease was mostly due to declines among ninth and tenth graders, as well as black and Hispanic teens.

Researchers say more work is needed to understand the causes of these decreases and ensure they continue.
