DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - Preparations are underway for this year’s Black Friday frenzy.
Best Buy is one of the few stores opening on Thanksgiving Day.
In doing so, they hope this will maintain organization throughout the night and into Friday.
General Manager Kerry Gould says, "We start planning about two months in advance.”
"I mean we plan everything from how the lines are going to be, the line management who’s going to be working where.” says Gould.
Depending on the crowd size, they will let people in by increments and give them a map on where to find the best deals.
They will also hand out tickets for specific items that have a limited quantity.
Everything was well thought out.
Gould says, “We want to make sure this is as flawless as possible for the customers when they come in. We want them to have an excellent experience."
Best Buy will be open from 5:00pm to 1:00am on Thanksgiving and then re-open at 8:00am on Friday.
