DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - A growing number of veterans are learning golf is a great tool to overcome life's challenges. A group of vets and others who suffer medical and other issues played 18-holes Friday.
That's thanks to PGA Hope Wiregrass, part of a national pro golfing group.
On Friday they sponsored a Veterans Day tournament at Highland Oaks golf course.
Ty Andersen says, "What they found with golf, is that they are trying to give them about one minute in time. And what they are saying is when you look at that little white ball you are not thinking of anything else."
PGA Hope Wiregrass helps those suffering from things like PTSD, medical and other issues.
