MOBILE, Ala. (AL.com) — Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson visited actor Nicolas Cage on the set of the supernatural thriller "Between Worlds" on Wednesday afternoon and presented him with a key to the city in a Facebook Live post.

"That key can get you in any door that you want to get in," Stimpson said. "I'm not sure you need that. I think you could probably get in anywhere in Mobile that you wanted to."

Cage, sporting a beard and wearing a hat with a rolled-up brim, graciously accepted the ceremonial key. He acknowledged that "Between Worlds" is the third movie he's filmed in Mobile, in addition to "Rage" in 2013 and "USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage" in 2015.

"I just want to say, Mayor Stimpson, that this is my third movie here, and each and every time I've been in Mobile I've been welcomed with great hospitality and friendship," Cage said.
