COWARTS, Ala. (WTVY) - A Cowart's man is trying to figure out his next move after a fire destroys some of his property Friday morning.

Ronald Ready and his girlfriend Kim Early woke up to a loud noise.

When they went outside to check it out, flames is all they saw.

By the time he discovered the blaze, it was too late to try and salvage anything. Mr. Ready watched his property burn to the ground.

Inside his 30 by 60 foot shop, he had valuable, sentimental items such as a Volkswagen Beetle, A 1979 Harley Davidson, a vintage truck and Billiards table, as well as photos he cherished for years.

Even with the loss of his items, Mr. Ready says, "At least nobody was hurt or lost a life.. we can replace tangible items."

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, however the Houston County Fire Marshall is set to start investigation in the coming days.
