SKIPPERVILLE, Ala. (WTVY) - A Skipperville family watched their home burn down Tuesday afternoon.
Owners, Sherri ad Harold have lived in their 100 year old home on County Road 33 for over 34 years.
Since they have been residents, they have raised 2 generations of loved ones and have continued to open their home to family after everyone moved out.
The family's tragedy only gets worse as Sherri was diagnosed with Lymphoma last Wednesday, and Harold is fighting a tough battle with throat cancer, heart disease and diabetes.
Unfortunately, nothing was able to be salvaged.
Neither the home, nor their belongings were insured however they are working with the American Red Cross to see about new beginnings.
If you would like to donate to or help the family in any way, you can contact the Enterprise American Red Cross at http://www.redcross.org/
