Hwy 84 west of Dothan being repaved for next 3 months

WICKSBURG, Ala. (WTVY) — On Thursday, July 13, an Alabama Department of Transportation project on U.S. Highway 84 from east of Alabama Highway 123 to Beaver Creek Bridge will begin.

The project will consist of planing, resurfacing, and traffic stripe with temporary lane closures possible throughout the project.

Motorists are advised to use caution while traveling through a construction zone and should expect delays and plan accordingly.

The $4,764,284.33 contract was awarded to Midsouth Paving, Inc., out of Birmingham, Ala., who had the lowest bid that met project requirements. The contract allows for 110 working days and is expected to be complete by Spring 2018.
