DOTHAN Ala. (WTVY) - For more than 7 months Rose and Paul Strickland lived out of their golden Mercury parked at Walmart.
But being homeless didn't stop them from giving back to others in the same situation. He says “pretty much every day um helping out with feeding the homeless making sure they had clothes, basic hygiene showers including the Thanksgiving celebration we feed them".
Paul says through those months, he spent sleepless nights worrying about his family's safety and did not trust anyone.
With the help of one organization Love in Action Ministries, Paul and Rose have a new home and give all their credit to God. "it’s just God showing his love for others and one of our goals is to help the homeless come off the streets and this was just an incredible way for that to happy were so thankful ."
The couple is still in shock from such a big blessing Rose told us that it took her two weeks to realize that it was not a dream.
Love in Action tells us the person who donated the funds wants to remain anonymous.
