SALZBURG, Austria (RTV / NBC News Channel) -- Strong cross winds at an airport in Austria forced a jetliner to abort its landing after touching down.

A powerful storm had been hitting the region when the flight from Germany to Austria tried to land.

Video shot by an off-duty cameraman shows the plane twisting and tilting as it approached the runway.

The videographer turned on his camera just as the big jet came in for a landing.

But the pilot decided to abort the landing at the last minute.

The plane made a "go-around" maneuver before heading back to Germany.
