DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - Heard Magnet School's 4th grade class presented a live wax museum about African American inventors Wednesday.

For weeks, each student performed in-depth research on their assigned inventors.. preparing a memorized biography highlighting their lives and the contributions they made to American history.

Parents, friends and family were invited to attend, take pictures and "meet" their little inventors.

“Um I am really impressed with what a great job all these kids did. They obviously put a lot of research into it. I think it’s important they learn about African American history and all the contributions they have made.. so I have actually learned a lot today too.” -- Jamie Elmore, Mother of 4th grader
