DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) — We are just now a few days out from the gates opening. They open Friday. But there's still some work that has to be done, especially before people get on the rides. Trailers have spent the day bringing in various rides including, the always popular Stinger. None of the rides are up and ready for use yet, with some still trying to find their parking spot. Last year, the national peanut festival had more than 70 rides and attractions with 5 roller coasters. Soon, people will start seeing the lights on the iconic Ferris Wheel.
Gates open at 4 Friday night. You do still have time to get a mega-pass. You can get them at Eagle Eye outfitters, area McDonalds or at the National Peanut Festival Office.
