HOUSTON COUNTY, Al. (WTVY) --- The Houston county health department's yearly walk-in flu clinic is underway. The center for disease control recommends anyone 6 months or older should get a shot. Flu season typically lasts between October and January. Although there have been no reported cases yet, the department has heard of a few cases in daycares. The clinic starts back up tomorrow morning at 8 and lasts until 4. The shots are $5 each. Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicaid and Medicare are accepted.
