Geneva County voters approve constitutional amendment

GENEVA COUNTY, Ala. (WTVY) — Voters in Geneva County have narrowly approved a constitutional amendment affecting the tenure of their probate judge.
The measure extends the maximum age for qualifying to run for probate judge in Geneva County from 70 to 75.
There were 3,288 "yes" votes to 3,145 "no" votes.
The measure allows Probate Judge Fred Hamic to seek another term.
Henry County voters approved an identical amendment in November of last year.
