OKALOOSA CO. (WTVY) — A woman who drowned Monday while swimming in the Gulf at Henderson Beach State Recreation area has been identified as Nori Bracho of Rogers Arkansas.
Efforts to revive the 70 year old Arkansas tourist who got into difficulty while swimming with family members in the Gulf of Mexico Monday were not successful.
Bystanders pulled the woman to the shore after she reportedly got into an area where she could not touch the ground and started to panic around 12:30 p.m. at the Henderson Beach State Recreation Area in Destin.
They started CPR until first responders arrived to continue lifesaving measures. EMS then transported her to the Destin Emergency Room but she did not survive.
