DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) — First Baptist Church Dothan is organizing a 4 day Hurricane Relief Trip to the Houston area on September 21-24.

The plan is to drive from Dothan to the Houston area on Thursday, September 21, work all day Friday and Saturday, then drive from Houston to Dothan on Sunday September 24.

We will be hanging and mudding sheetrock and replacing electrical outlets. We may also help clean out houses. Tools needed will be anything used for sheetrock hanging and mudding plus shovels, crowbars, work gloves, rakes, etc.

We will be sleeping on the floor of a church in the area. So you will need to bring a sleeping bag and/or cot plus towels.

The cost is $50 per person to help with fuel. Plus your meals.

The trip is open to anyone willing to drive the 700 miles over and back and help others. We will be traveling by church bus.

We are inviting anyone in town to go with us, not just FBC members. Especially people who can hang and mud sheetrock.
