DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) -- The Spiritual Enrichment Center partnered with the Dothan Rescue Mission to give the less fortunate an early Christmas.

The organizations, along with the help of nearly a dozen businesses provided more than 65 people with a traditional Christmas dinner.

Following the meal the kids staying at the mission got to meet and get presents from Santa.

The Rescue Mission also gave out a donation bag full of clothes and toiletries to each client.

Reverend Glenda Davis of the Spiritual Enrichment Center says, "We want to encourage other people, other churches and organizations to find a way that they can serve a meal or be of service to the mission. Because these are people who are between jobs, between housing they need a little boost right now and we can do that for them."

For those interested in volunteering the Spirtual Enrichment Center feeds the Rescue Mission residents every month on the 3rd Thursday.
