Second arrest made in Dale County murder

DALE COUNTY, Ala. (WTVY) -- [UPDATE: 12/5/2017 at 7:29:57 PM]
A 2nd arrest in a Dale County murder case.
41-year-old Mitchell Doster is accused of fatally shooting 47-year old Ricky Dease.
Celeste Conroy, described by Sheriff Wally Olson as Doster's girlfriend--- was arrested Monday and later released on bond.
Officers answering a 9-1-1 call early Sunday, discovered Dease's body at his home along US Highway 231.
Olson would not release a possible motive.
A court hearing for Doster will likely be held Wednesday.
No additional arrests in Dease's death are expected.

UPDATE - 12/14/2017
An Ozark woman is in custody, suspected of shooting Rickey Dease.

Celeste Conroy, 42, faces murder charges. She was booked into the Dale County Jail.

Investigators say Conroy shot and killed Dease early Sunday morning at a home on Montgomery Highway.

Another arrest is expected.

At approximately 2:17 AM this morning the Ozark-Dale County E911 Center dispatched deputies to the 10000 Blk of Hwy 231 North in reference to a firearm assault. Upon arrival deputies located a deceased victim inside the residence. The victim has been identified as 47 year old Ricky Dease. Based on our investigation Dease resides at the residence where the incident took place.

With the assistance from the Dothan Police Department we have located a person of interest and are in the process of interviewing and investigating that individual. This is an ongoing homicide investigation so limited information will be released to protect the integrity of the case. We do anticipate charges to be filed once we have compiled all of our findings and present them to the Dale County District Attorney’s Office.
