Christmas decorations going up in Dothan

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) — It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the Circle City.

Workers in Dothan began putting up Christmas decorations Monday.
Crews put up decorations on the light poles along the city's main intersections...
Topped off with ornaments of angels...and Christmas trees...
Workers at the Dothan Civic Center also put up the Christmas tree Monday.
There are more than 200 Christmas decorations.
Each year, decorations are replaced as needed.
There is no cost to taxpayers for the decorations as many city organizations help out.

Stephanie Wingfield who is the Programs Coordinator for Dothan Leisure Services says:
"Our Christmas tree lighting is December the 5th, so come on out as we light the big Christmas tree. Bring your children out. We'll have a special guest, Santa's going to come so come out and enjoy and bring in the Christmas season."

All of the decorations will stay up until the Downtown Dothan Hoops Classic on December 27th.
