Chipley man sentenced for stabbing assisted living resident

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Fla. (WTVY) - A Chipley man will spend the next 4 decades behind bars for his role in a deadly stabbing.

Christopher Kelley stabbed Wendell Holmes to death last June.

Both men were clients of the Tropical Paradise Assisted Living Facility.

Investigators say Kelley believed Holmes had stolen money from him.

Kelley was sentenced to 40-years in prison.

He's been in the Washington County Jail since his arrest in June.
