Bright is hoping to recapture the 2nd district seat he held from 2008 to 2010.
A Republican -- he's one of several candidates hoping to defeat incumbent Representative Martha Roby.
Bright toured aviation industry at the Dothan Regional Airport including CAE and Commercial Jet.
"For any community like Dothan to be prosperous and attract lots of jobs and industry, you have to have a viable airport and industry that is drawn in by the airport itself," said Bright.
Bright grew up just a few miles from Dothan and near the airport.
He plans to visit every county in the 2nd congressional district several times before the June primary.
