They are starting planning for their water improvement project.
-- and so far they have pin pointed necessary water main replacements all over the city.
One improvement is replacing the elevated tank, growing capacity from a half million gallon tank to million and a half gallon tank on the northside of city -- where demand is highest.
Other improvements include replacing about 50 waterlines throughout the city, replacing the water lines that are old or have been leaking.. as well as a few other important enhancements.
"Cut cost as far as repairs.. we will see repairs go way down. WE will see better water quality in those areas that some of the old lines exist. We will see a better stability of water pressure in some areas of the north side of town with this new tank. We will also see more capacity, ability to pump more water when we need it, so it'll help the system all around, itll be better improvement for economical growth and it will be ready for the next 10 to 15 years of growth." -- Alan Mayhan, Water Works Superintendent
