Big Bend animals enjoy donated Christmas trees

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WTVY) - We told you Wednesday that you could drop your old Christmas trees off for the animals at Big Bend Wildlife Sanctuary.

Well, you all were so generous with donating your trees that Big Bend is now at capacity, and can no longer accept any recycled trees.

Raccoons, bobcats, coyotes, foxes, and even skunks at Big Bend have been enjoying the belated Christmas gift.

Big Bend uses the trees in the wildlife's makeshift habitats for mental enrichment, and for some, a tasty treat.

Though Big Bend can no longer accept your old Christmas trees, they recommend giving them to other wildlife rehabilitators or education centers.
