Arlington pharmacy forced to move after Irma damage

ARLINGTON, Ga. (WTVY) - One Georgia pharmacist's business changed abruptly after Irma hit.

The roof blew off Harris Pharmacy in Arlington into the street on September 11th. Dan Harris has owned the pharmacy since 1975; he says 26 people came to help clear out the store before any more damage came through.

The floor was also destroyed. Harris says he has no plans to continue his business in Arlington.

"We have gone into business with a guy who owns Lanes Drug Company in Edison and Halls Drug Company in Blakely. We're having fun doing what we do,” said Harris.

Harris says they have prescription files from his pharmacy currently at Lane Drug Company. Customers are welcome to have them transferred where ever they'd like.
