(WTVY) -- Apple is being sued after the company admitted to slowing down older iPhone models.
One week ago, the company said it had algorithms to keep phones running smoothly if there is a battery that can't keep up with the required power.
Two people from California have brought a class-action lawsuit against the tech giant. They claim Apple never asked for their permission to slow down their phones.
The two were owners of an iPhone seven. They argue the slowdown of their phone caused them to suffer "interference to their iPhone usage." They also claim the interference caused them "economic damages and other harm for which they are entitled to compensation."
According to some media reports the company may be facing additional lawsuits.
