Adults get artsy at the Wiregrass Museum of Art

Dothan, Ala (WTVY) - If you feel like you need to get in touch with your creative side, look no further than the Wiregrass Museum of Art, which held its monthly adult art class today.

The class is on the first Wednesday of every month from 9 to 12:30 in the mornings.

Today, adult students worked on creating mono-prints with oil-based ink and even carving linoleum to make stamps.

The class is $15 for museum members and $20 for non-members.

Next month, the students will be learning about pottery.
"The adults are just as energetic about creating the projects as the kids,” says Amanda Holcomb, art educator. “It's great to be able to work with them as well, and just to offer another place here in Dothan where people can create their own art."

The Wiregrass Museum of Art also offers a weekly art class for kids on Wednesdays, which is $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
