Actor Robert Guillaume dies at 89

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (WTVY) Actor Robert Guillaume died overnight in his Los Angeles home. The 89-year-old was best known portraying level-headed Benson Dubois in the TV show "Benson," which ran from 1979 until 1986.
That role won him an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy in 1985.
Guillaume captured an entirely new audience in 1994 when he provided the voice for RafikI in animated Disney hit "The Lion King."
He battled prostate cancer during the last two years of his life.
He leaves behind a wife and four children.
