1 killed in crash involving tractor in Calhoun County

CALHOUN COUNTY, Ga. (WTVY) - One person is dead after a crash involving a tractor in Calhoun County, Georgia, Tuesday morning.

It happened on Highway 234 around 7:00 a.m. EST.

According to Georgia State Patrol, a mustang driven by Joseph Tye rear-ended a tractor being driven by Bobby Ross. The impact caused the tractor to flip several times down the shoulder of the road, killing Ross.

GSP's Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating. Tye, who was not injured, could face charges pending the outcome of that investigation.
