Tropical Storm Ernesto, well south of the United States Gulf Coast, is expected to effect Honduras and the Yucatan Peninsula.

As of 4am Central Time, Tropical Storm Ernesto was to the east of the Central American nation of Honduras and moving to the west at 12 miles per hour.

Sustained winds in the storm are at 50 miles per hour, making it a mid-grade Tropical Storm.

Parts of the coast of Honduras are now under Tropical Storm Warnings, while parts of the Yucatan—expecting a more direct impact—are under Hurricane Watches.

Jamaica has cancelled the Tropical Storm Warnings in effect for the island nation.

Places like Honduras and Belize could see very strong winds and very heavy rain.
