Forecasters say Hurricane Nadine is making a loop while out in the eastern Atlantic far from land.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said Nadine is a Category 1 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 85 mph (137 kph).
Nadine has been swirling around in the Atlantic for more than two weeks since becoming a tropical storm Sept. 11. No coastal watches or warnings are in effect.
Nadine was centered about 685 miles (1102 kilometers) west of the Azores islands.
Forecasters say little change in strength is expected during the day though Nadine should eventually begin gradual weakening. Hurricane force winds extend out about 35 miles (56 kilometers) from Nadine's center.
