Locally severe thunderstorms over the northern Plains this evening will precede a more widespread severe weather event. Numerous intense thunderstorms and tornadoes will begin firing Monday afternoon, posing a serious threat to lives and property across the entire Plains.
Flooding in the upper Midwest, which could rival the high water levels experienced in 2006 and possibly 1997, and continued drought in the South and West are among the highlights in NOAA’s National Weather Service Spring Outlook issued today.
