US Short Term Forecast to Jun 25

***Periods of rain and thunderstorms for the Central U.S.***

***Mild temperatures for the Northeast U.S. and Mid-Atlantic***

***Dry weather pattern for the West Coast***

A relatively zonal flow pattern aloft will allow for progressive weather
systems across the continental U.S.

A frontal boundary situated across the Great Plains and into the Upper Midwest will be the primary forcing for multiple rounds of showers and storms, and some of these will be over saturated grounds.

This will only exacerbate ongoing flooding issues.

A few severe thunderstorms will also be possible.

Airmass-type thunderstorms are likely to develop each afternoon across Texas and the Deep South with a hot and humid environment in place.

Across the East Coast, a cold front moving slowly towards the south is
resulting in more pleasant temperatures for this time of year, along with less humidity.

Highs in the 70s north to mid 80s in the Mid-Atlantic can be expected through Monday before a gradual return to warmer weather by the middle of the week.

Dry and warm weather is expected for the West Coast through the beginning of next week.
